On Thursday 6th March, we are celebrating World Book Day. We have already been preparing for World Book Day by designing and creating our whole school adventure book. This will be launched later in the week.
Throughout this week we are having a whole school sponsored read in partnership with Ciara's Library (Usborne Books) . Our Ready, Steady Read information packs have been sent home already and children will be raising money to provide classes with new books for their topics, accelerated reading and so they can instill a love for reading.
Children will have the opportunity to enter our whole school reading competition. Children can send their photo of them reading in an unusual place to @stronansprimary. Winners will be announced on Friday.
Thursday 6th March Children are encouraged to dress up as their favourite book character. It has been lovely to see so many handmade costumes over the years and the children enjoy discussing how they made their outfit.
