An animal education service named Wee Critters made a zoom call to P5 last week.
Allan the explorer heard how resilient and hardworking the pupils of St. Ronan's have been over the past year. He was so impressed, he decided to provide the P5s with a zoom lesson. During the lesson pupils in school and at home were introduced to a range of animals which can be found in the Rainforest and other tropical areas. The animals included a Honduran milk snake, hissing cockroach, three-banded armadillo, and the very 'vocal' Jenday conure called Kiki-Dee!
The session tied in well with our current WAU topic which is all about rainforests.
The children really enjoyed the call and were delighted to learn about all the animals!
