On Friday, our local Sustrans active travel officer, Ann-Marie, paid us a visit.
In recognition of all the excellent active travel work the entire school community has put in over the past two years, we were presented with the prestigious Sustrans gold award for active travel. We have now joined a select number of schools across Northern Ireland that have achieved the award.
During the presentation, pupils were able to recall the active travel events we have taken part in as well as list the physical, mental and social benefits of being active.
Congratulations to everyone who has taken part in and helped out during our active travel journey. We hope to see more and more pupils walking, cycling and scooting throughout the month of June and we look forward to completing more active travel challenges during the next school year!
