Super Science
On Friday, P5 had an experiment day as a treat for their behaviour and effort since their return to school after remote learning.
The three scientific areas we looked at were: - Magnetism
- Static Electricity
- Chemical reactions
We learned about the properties of magnets, how static electricity can be generated, and what happens when chemical reactions take place.
Experiments included: - Orange slices and baking soda (this was tasty!!)
- Bending flowing water with a balloon
- Making alka-seltzer rockets
- Magnet exploration and play
- Coke and mentos explosion
All children understood the importance of safety and adult supervision when carrying out the experiments.
We hope to complete some more experiments in the near future!
