Science Week

The children in Mr. Shannon's class have been having a very active Science Week. On Tuesday they had an enjoyable session with Gérard Hughes from Sentinus which dealt with the ideas of floating and sinking. Today, they were invited to St. Kevin's  College and had access to a real science lab and did some work on acids and alkalis.  A sincere thank you to the staff in St. Kevin's for the kind invitation and to the students who form the Science  Leadership Team for  providing such interesting experiences. In normal class, the children  have been experimenting to discover if certain materials are waterproof. Overall , it has been a very active and enjoyable week on the Science front.
