We have been using this great weather outside as a chance to begin our preparations for all the planting that will be done in the Polytunnel in the coming weeks. The boys and girls were fantastic at really getting stuck in and getting their hands dirty to help Mr Foy prepare the beds.
It was great to see the children from both classes working together as a team and figuring out between them how they were going to complete certain jobs! (Like how to get the heavy compost into the beds without it going all over the stones.) The children also got the chance to plant some 'seed bombs' around the school so fingers crossed we will be seeing flowers blooming around the school very soon.
Everyone loved being outside in the fresh air and we hope that getting the Polytunnel up and running will serve the children in all the classes as an exciting opportunity to develop and learn new skills in the great outdoors. :-)
