P7 Active Week
P7 had a fantastic time taking part in their active week!
We started the week off with some circuits in the hall and children worked very well together in pairs when completing the different stations
On Tuesday, we had pledged to do 262 miles (10 marathons!) as a school. P7 led the charge after some inspiration from the daily mile ambassador, Eliud Kipchoge. Pupils completed 7 laps of the school, with some sprints along the front car park.
On Wednesday, we had our class PE session were played some dodgeball and Gaelic Football. We also worked up a sweat in the classroom by spinning flat out on the bike kindly donated by Hydeout Fitness!
Thursday was our mini Olympics day. Pupils took part in the standing triple jump, standing long jump, standing vertical jump, speed bounce, medicine ball throw and agility square. A special to the St Kevin's PE students who helped the children through the different events.
On Friday, we had our Ditch the Dark walk from Castle Park. Over 150 children took part in this and we also had over 20 children who cycled to school this day!
