To celebrate 'Road Safety Week 2022' the children in P2/3 walked to mass this morning!
The cold, frosty morning didn't stop the children from putting on their hats, scarfs and gloves and made the trek up to the chapel!
The children couldn't wait to put their high-vis vests on. We had a great chat about why we needed to wear them, especially when it was such a foggy morning! We talked about how fog reduces visiblity for vehicles and people and that high-vis vests and colours help to keep us safe.
After mass, Canon Jimmy gave us a tour of the church and everything in it. He was very impressed with how many parts of the church the children could identify. We have been learning about this during Grow in Love in class!
The children were so well behaved during mass and walked so safely to and from school that we added 2 gems to their Gem Jar! Well done boys and girls!
