Nature Makes Sense - Smiths Strand!
26th Mar 2025
Fermanagh and Omagh District Council hosted workshops in Lisnaskea today and it offered the children an opportunity to enjoy a range of nature based and outdoor play activities in accessible spaces.
The ‘Nature Makes Sense’ workshops took place at Smiths Strand, Lisnaskea.
The Council’s Climate Action, Community and Wellbeing and Access and Inclusion Teams were joined by staff from Cuilcagh Lakelands UNESCO Global Geopark and The Conservation Volunteers to deliver the activities, which incorporated sensory elements.
Primary 6 had the chance to explore the local environment, learn about nature and develop skills whilst having fun along the trail, all at their own pace.
