Micro:bit in Primary 4
26th Nov 2024
This term Primary 4 have been investigating 'Computational Thinking' through micro:bits.
They have really enjoyed completing all the processes involved in this project. It all started with the exploration and completion of tutorials on BBC MakeCode to develop their understanding of block coding.
The children then progressed to planning and developing 'About Me' code, aiming to use a variety of inputs on the little micro:bit computer to provide a range of outputs.
The children could evaluate a lot of their progress with the online simulator. After some, improvements the children then got to download their completed code onto micro:bits.
They then had a fun session in class where they attached the battery packs to the micro:bits, before playing with them and exhibiting their work.
Take a look at our pictures. Well done to everyone in Primary 4!
