The children in P2/3 have been so excited for their new topic in the WAU and have been learning all about life cycles!
Mrs B started off by recording everything the children already know about life cycles and what they want to know.
The children created some beautiful watercolour art work showing ‘metamorphosis’ and were able to inspect a butterfly, looking closely at the symmetrical wings and antennae.
To top off all the excitement, the children were delighted when they heard they get to grow their own butterflies! There is a Lifecycle station set up in the classroom and the caterpillar friends have been closely monitored throughout the school day. We are all very excited to watch each stage of metamorphosis unfold!
