Primary 3 have been very busy carrying out practical based activities and investigations as part of Science Week. Recently, we have been busy planting bean seeds as part of our topic ‘Let’s get growing.’ We talked about the importance of light, water and soil for seeds to grow. We carefully placed each of our bean seeds into a finger depth of soil and covered it over. This week we have noticed the bean seeds have grown into a new little shoot. We are very excited to see the bean seeds grow into taller bean stalks!
As an extra part of our investigation, we planted one bean seed with exposure to light but no water. We then planted another bean seed with exposure to water but no light. We had fun making predictions on the outcomes of this experiment. We look forward to seeing the final results by the end of this week!
