Goodbye Remote Learning!
28th Mar 2021
Following a lengthy spell of remote learning, all pupils returned to school last week!
After the "I haven't seen you since last year!" joke was told one too many times, the P5s got right back down to business!
They worked hard all week and made us all realise just how much we missed being together in the classroom.
Here are just some of the activities we completed this week:
- 'Vote for me!' Persuasive Writing
- Team-building PE games including 'Wrong place, wrong time'
- Source to Tap Zoom - Lisa from Waterways Ireland paid us a virtual visit to talk about wildlife in our rivers
- Free-time Science Exploration - We have put some cool science equipment on display in our classroom
- Class Census - We compiled some census questions, collected our class data, displayed it in graphs, and analysed it
- Environment - Some children checked in on the Spring bulbs we planted way back in October and we also had a quick litter clean up during break
- Easter Crosses - We created some lovely Easter crosses using different coloured paper
- Giving Our Worries the Boot - Children wrote down worries they have about their remaining time in school. We had a discussion about worries, then we scrunched them into a ball and gave them the boot!
We have a lot more fun activities and learning coming up after Easter!
Hope you enjoy the pictures of our first week back :)
