Primary 4 have been having a feast of fun as they explore the science behind food! Starting a few weeks back, by identifying animals as herbivores, carnivores, or omnivores, they have eagerly progressed to understanding food chains and how energy moves through nature.
Now, the children are taking their knowledge a step further by conducting independent research on different animals. They are investigating their chosen creatures’ diets, habitats, and roles in the food chain.
Once complete they will then prepare to showcase their findings in creative Adobe Express videos. The children are not just learning about animals, as this task enables them to think and act like scientists, ask questions, and make connections.
Next they will begin discovering how eating and digestion works in humans and they will explore how food is broken down and used by the body.
This topic is proving to be a delicious learning journey and well done to everyone on the great start.
