This year is an important year for everyone in Primary 4 as they embark on their journey toward making their Holy Communion. Canon Jimmy is a regular visitor in both classrooms and in his recent visit he explained to the children all about the vestry garments worn by the Priest and things associated with Holy Communion.
Patrick and Max were the lucky volunteers who modelled these garments for the classes. The main garment, an alb has a stole draped over the shoulders, is tied around the waist with a cincture, and the final over garment is called a chasuble.
Canon then left a little colour, cut and stick task to place the garments on the priest. This was a really fun task enjoyed by all and it's fair to say their results were excellent.
Well done everyone and Canon Jimmy is sure to be impressed.
