Today marked the first day of Anti-Bullying Week 2022 and the children in P2/3 couldn't wait to show off their odd socks! We had a lovely discussion this morning about how we should treat others the way we want to be treated and the children gave some wonderful examples of being kind, treating others with respect and being inclusive.
What made the start of Anti-Bullying Week 2022 even more special was that yesterday was World Kindness Day! In September, the children created their own 'Kindness Bucket' which we were inspired to create after reading the story 'Have you filled a bucket today?'. Since then, the children have been earning pom poms for doing kind things with 10 pom poms meriting a prize!
So today we decided to use the kindness buckets for something different and we filled them with lots of kind words! The children firstly had to write something kind about themselves and put it in their own bucket. They then got a chance to write a positive, kind message for someone else and put it in their bucket!
