Anti-Bullying Week and Road Safety Awareness Week
As part of Anti-Bullying Week, some of the children in Primary 2 took part in 'Odd Sock Day'. Wearing odd socks reminded us all that we are each different but equal. The children also had the chance to make Friendship Bracelets. The bracelets are a sign that we are all friends, that we are all in this together, we are all part of a team but that we are each unique in our own ways. It was lovely to see some of the children wearing their bracelets in to school today!
As part of Road Safety Awareness week, the class went for a walk up to the traffic lights at Lidl to 'show off' their road safety skills. The children recognised the importance of stop, look and listen and other important road safety skills like eyes and feet facing forward, staying away from the edge of the footpath, waiting for an adults instructions and always watching and looking.
What a great week!
