We have been busy little bee’s in P1 recently. We are working so hard in preparation for big P2. ??
Outdoor play and learning has been a massive area of focus, making the most of this lovely, dry weather. We love to get outside for play and learning. We have made some great developments to our outdoor area and the children are gaining so much from it all. Outdoor play helps them to use their imagination, take risks for learning, develop self-confidence and independence and much more.
In world around us we have finished off our topic ‘Helping Hands’ and now move on to ‘Let’s Splash into Summer.’ We have been exploring this through scavenger hunts and by decorating a beautiful display.
We have been working hard in numeracy and literacy. We are really good at numbers, adding, 2D and 3D shape, directions, reading pictograms etc. Test us out at home. We are beginning to write more independently in literacy and our handwriting is just beautiful!
